To celebrate our centenary we decided we'd go big, and so we looked to set a world record!
On St Andrews Day, 30th November, 2019, we built a 12 metre-long wall covered in over 1,000 pegs where we hung ring doughnuts. In total we had 1,234 doughnuts on our wall, breaking the existing record. We gave all the doughnuts away to very happy visitors to the St Andrews Day Big Hoolie celebration, with donations made to the Tayside Children with Cancer and Leukaemia Lodge (TCCL) in St Andrews, a charity that provides a free holiday home to parents of children with cancer and leukaemia.
The event raised £500 for the charity and broke the world record.
