Fisher & Donaldson x Nice Touch: Our Scotland World Cup Cake Collaboration
There’s something extra special about Scotland making it onto the world football stage at the 2026 FIFA World Cup after all these years. We’ve teamed up with someone just as thrilled about it as we are: Nice Touch – a local small business that celebrates participation in sport in all its forms, from grassroots clubs and weekend fixtures to lifelong fandom. We’ve put a special Nice Touch design onto a limited-edition range of Scotland World Cup biscuits and cakes, available in all our branches from Tuesday 9th June, and for as long as Scotland are in the tournament.
We sat down with Rosanna from Nice Touch to chat about all things Fife, football and cakes! Here’s what she had to say…
For anyone who hasn’t come across your work before, can you tell us a little about yourself and Nice Touch?
I am Rosanna, I live in Cupar with my husband, 18 month old, dog and cat. I’ve spent the last decade of my career working in sport for social inclusion – I love sport, hosting, celebrating and fashion and I combined them all to start Nice Touch. We celebrate physical activity at all levels, for all people – we want everyone to experience the joy and excitement of sport.
As a fellow Fife business, what does it mean to collaborate with a bakery that has been part of the local community for over 100 years?
I grew up eating fudge doughnuts and coffee cream towers. My wedding cake was a tower of fudge doughnuts – when friends visit we always pop by one of the branches. Fisher & Donaldson has always been a fixture and a place of joy, celebration and treats for me and my family… I’m thrilled!
Scotland qualifying for the 2026 World Cup has created a real buzz. How excited are you?
Oh, delighted and thrilled. Wish the first game wasn’t at 2am but I will have a nap first! 28 years is a long time to wait for this!
What inspired the design you created for this collaboration?
‘No Scotland No Party’ has become the informal anthem for the Scotland team – Nick Morgan wrote the catchiest song by that name for the Euros and it’s just stuck!
What was it like seeing your design on cakes and biscuits for the first time?
It was AMAZING – it went all round my group chats and the consensus is that I have peaked, it’s all downhill from here!
What do you hope people feel when they see the designs in our windows and cake counters?
Pride, joy, excitement! I want people to see it and feel included, too.
Why do you think collaborations between local businesses are so important?
Local businesses supporting each other makes for a happier and better community.
Time for a quickfire round:
Tea or coffee? Coffee.
Biscuit or cake? Cake.
Favourite spot in Cupar? Fisher and Donaldson – I actually like the wee one best.
One word to describe this collaboration? Delicious.
We couldn’t agree more, Rosanna. It’s been an absolute joy working with someone who puts so much heart into everything they do – and who clearly has excellent taste in bakeries!
Our Scotland World Cup cake collaboration is available from Tuesday 9th June in all Fisher & Donaldson branches. Come in, pick up a wee treat, and let’s cheer Scotland on together. No Scotland, no party… and no better biscuit to celebrate with. We’ll also be selling some of Nice Touch’s range of Scotland World Cup scarves and hats.
